The Duck Lake Garage/Yard Sale has been a successful activity sponsored by the Duck Lake

Association for many years. Every year your association (the Duck Lake Association) pays for the

advertisement of the ANNUAL ROUND THE LAKE YARD SALE and TWO PORTA POTTIES.

The date of the sale remains the same each year: the fourth Saturday in June.

A yard sale or garage sale is all about ending up with less stuff and more money. They are a

fantastic way to declutter and part with rarely used items, like that rowing machine you swore would not

just collect dust in the basement. The DLA determines the location and time and provides advertising

and porto-potties. All you need to do is organize the items that you are planning to sell and price them

fairly. If you cannot determine how much to ask for something, 10% of the retail price is a good rule of

thumb.

This winter would be a good time to rummage through your household items and determine what

you would like to part with. It is never too early to get prepared for next year’s yard/garage sale around

the lake, scheduled for Saturday, June 27, 2026. (The fourth Saturday of June)
