Duck Lake Association Meetings, Summer 2011 - Meetings Were Held On May 10, June 7, July 12, August 9
Note:
Kent
Carrier was a Duck Lake Association Board (DLA) member
for several years. It seems appropriate that friends of Kent
from the DLA take a minute to remember Kent. Shown below is
an article about Kent that Bill Taylor had published in the
Springport Signal.
"Kent Carrier
I do not
recall seeing a notice here, and want to ensure that
all of Kent Carrier’s friends know that he passed
away on Tuesday, November 1. I am very sorry to be
providing this information.
Kent worked for various Albion businesses and served
in the U.S. Army before being employed as a plant
engineer by Albion Industries from 1962 to 1999.
Kent and his wife Rolaine are longtime Duck Lake
residents, and he is also survived by two adult
children and three grandchildren. Kent devoted a
large amount of time to Albion Boy Scout Troop #158
and Albion American Legion Post #55, and was also a
strong community contributor here at Duck Lake.
Pastor Jeremy Williams conducted a memorial service
for Kent in the First United Methodist Church of
Albion on Friday November 11. The overflow crowd at
this service revealed how well Kent was liked
throughout our area more effectively than any words
could convey.

Note:
Go to theCurrent Issues
page for Bill Taylor's Article
concerning the Clarence Township Board of Trustees meeting
October 10, 2011. Following is an excerpt from the letter: "The
Township Board unanimously passed the proposed zoning
amendments (including Turtle Cove) following this
discussion, and Mr. Feldspauch suggested that he would see
the Township in court. While Mr. Feldspauch is not apt to
win there, he could cost the Township a considerable amount
of aggravation and legal fees. So Duck Lake area
residents who heavily favor protecting Turtle Cove should
appreciate the Township Board’s actions and take time to
thank our Board members."
